Hello my name is Kathy Simonton, owner of The Red Salon.
I started this amazing career in 1990 where I found my love and passion for hair color. I then took that passion and became a Goldwell certified master colorist in 1994.

Over the years, I grew my clientele which unexpectedly became my family. The stories, laughs, and tears I have shared with my family have helped me grow into the woman and hairstylist I am today!

I opened "The Red Salon" in 2003, because I wanted a space where everyone feels like they are home. In 2017, "The Red Salon a Kathy Simonton Concept" was born. A new salon was created so I could offer my experience and education to other stylists around me as well as watch them grow and succeed in their careers. I’ve also gone on to work at hair shows, and bridal events doing hair and makeup. Nominated by my clients and peers, I won the best master stylist in Dayton 4 consecutive years in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
